Special Olympics Arkansas
The Olympics is about pushing people to be their best, and Special Olympics Arkansas is no different. The Special Olympics works with people with intellectual disabilities and gives them the opportunity to be their best. At events they can be their best in the numerous athletic events, but it’s so much more than that. Special Olympics gives athletes the opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle, showcase their skills, and build strong friendships and partnerships with other athletes as well as volunteers from the community. Working to enrich the lives of those in our community that are intellectually disabled makes Special Olympics Arkansas an easy choice for this month’s Spirit of Arkansas.
Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is partnered with KATV Channel 7 to present the “Spirit of Arkansas Award.” The award is given to local charities doing exceptional work in the community. To be considered for the Spirit of Arkansas Award, a charity can apply here.
