Gold Star Monument
Anytime a soldier is killed in battle, America loses a hero. We honor those heroes that have died fighting for us. But sometimes, we unintentionally overlook the families of these soldiers. Many families have lost a parent, spouse, child, or a sibling. The families deserve to be honored, and that is what the Gold Star Monument aims to do. The monument, which has been several years in the making, will be on the Arkansas State Capitol grounds and serve as a reminder of the sacrifice these families have made for our country. We are thankful to present the Spirit of Arkansas Award to help create this monument and honor fallen service member’s families.
