Grant County American Legion Post 30
The Grant County American Legion Post 30 is a nonprofit organization led by local war time veterans. They are a local chapter that helps maintain the B-17 Memorial Park which is a memorial site to honor the nine-man crew of a B-17F Flying Fortress that perished from an explosion mid-air in a wooded area five miles northwest of Sheridan while en route from Kansas to Florida in 1943. The plane was scheduled to go to Europe for combat in World War II. For their efforts and to help maintain this honorable memorial site, Rainwater, Holt & Sexton presents them with the Saluting Heroes Award and donation.
