The Van

The Van’s mission is simply to locate and love our unsheltered neighbors, wherever they may be. They visit current homeless camps, search for new camps, comb alleyways, check under bridges, and seek out people deep in the woods, etc. We take supplies such as food, water, clothing, and hygiene products to people where they are. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is honored to present them with this month’s vending machine charity donation.

The Arkansas Foodbank is the foundation in the fight against hunger. They find pathways to connect people, resources and food to reach those in need, providing dignity, hope and a brighter future for all Arkansans. Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit dedicated to helping families thrive. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death. AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss. They do this by educating the public and advocating for public policies about mental health and suicide prevention. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is honored to present them with this month’s vending machine charity donation.

New Beginnings Pregnancy Center

New Beginnings Pregnancy Center

New Beginnings ministers to young families by providing ultrasounds and support during pregnancy, and material resources such as diapers, baby equipment, and more until the child is two years of age. Not only does this ministry focus on expecting and new moms but they have begun a focus on fathers during 2023. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is honored to present them with our vending machine charity donation.

 

Arkansas Paws in Prison

Arkansas Paws in Prison

Arkansas Paws in Prison is committed to rehabilitating inmates and giving shelter dogs a second chance at life. Selected inmates have the opportunity to become trainers of rescue dogs in the program. Inmates work with the dogs teaching them basic obedience skills and properly socializing the animals, making them more adoptable. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is proud to present them with our vending machine charity donation.

Holy Sews

Holy Sews

Holy Sews provides handmade infant burial clothing for families that experience the loss of their baby during gestational weeks 16-25. These micropreemie babies are much too tiny and fragile for any other clothing that is readily available. We accomplish this by supplying hospitals and funeral homes with a stock of layettes that families can choose from. All of this is provided at absolutely no charge to the hospitals, funeral homes, or the families that they serve. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is honored to present them with our vending machine charity donation.

The Mayfly Project

The Mayfly Project

The Mayfly Project is a 501(c)(3) national organization that uses fly fishing as a catalyst to mentor and support children in foster care. The Mission of The Mayfly Project is to support children in foster care through fly fishing and introduce them to their local water ecosystems, with the hope that connecting them to a rewarding hobby will provide an opportunity for foster children to have fun, build confidence, and develop a meaningful connection with the outdoors. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is proud to present them with our vending machine charity donation.

Rise House

Rise House

Rise House (previously The Women’s Shelter of Central Arkansas) is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides a promise of hope and a haven of safety for adults and children seeking relief from domestic violence and sexual abuse. Rise has been aiding victims of family violence in central Arkansas since 1995. Their goal is to help each person who comes to their door rise up from the threat of domestic and sexual violence. They provide outreach services including emergency shelter, food, clothing, legal advocacy, and crisis counseling. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton are honored to present them with this month’s vending machine charity donation.

 

Alzheimer’s Arkansas

Alzheimer’s Arkansas

Alzheimer’s Arkansas is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to help family caregivers in Arkansas whose loved ones are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Their volunteer Board of Directors is composed of local community members, their services are free, and all funds collected from donations are spent ONLY in Arkansas. We are proud to financially partner with this group by awarding them as our monthly vending machine charity winner.

 

Open Arms Shelter

Open Arms Shelter

Open Arms Shelter is a 24-bed facility providing both temporary and long-term housing to children who are victims of abuse and neglect from birth up to 18 years of age. Since 1986, they have provided emergency safe housing to thousands of children 24-hours a day, seven days a week as well as providing three home-cooked meals a day and snacks. They are also one of the few emergency shelters in Arkansas that will accept children under the age of eight, teenage mothers with their children and large sibling groups. Because of their efforts in providing care for these children, Rainwater, Holt & Sexton proudly presents them with this month’s vending machine charity donation.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Sleep in Heavenly Peace believes all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. They are a team of volunteers and donors, which includes individuals, school shop classes, and many local businesses dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering hundreds of top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Their organization is steadily growing, and their goal is to work on opening more chapters across the country to serve more people. We are proud to financially partner with this group by awarding them as our monthly vending machine charity winner.

Adam’s Clubhouse

Adam’s Clubhouse

Adam’s Clubhouse provides intellectually and physically disabled, school age children a protective, nurturing, and caring environment through after school and summer care programs. Their goal is to give parents and guardians the opportunity to focus on their employment or education to better provide for their families and allowing them a break as caregivers by providing a safe daycare option for their children. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton are honored to present Adam’s Clubhouse with this month’s vending machine charity donation.

ARORA

ARORA

ARORA is a team made up of nurses, physicians, medical technicians, social workers, and administrators orchestrating the amazing medical miracle of the recovery of organs, tissue and eyes for transplantation. Through education, support services and programs, and close partnerships with hospitals and medical professionals across the state, their team is dedicated to maximizing every opportunity for organ and tissue donation. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is delighted to honor this month’s vending machine charity donation to ARORA.

Jericho Way is Central Arkansas’ only homeless day resource center. They provide the homeless community with breakfast/lunch, laundry facilities, showers, clothing, phones/computer access, transportation assistance and many other resources.
