2014 Walk to Defeat ALS Taking Place in Little Rock
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerves of the brain and spinal cord. This can cause patients to lose control of their body systems. There is no known cure for the disease, and the treatment options are currently limited.
The Little Rock Personal Injury Attorneys with Rainwater, Holt & Sexton recognize the difficulties that can be associated with an ALS diagnosis. That is why the firm is happy to be taking part in an upcoming charity that will raise funds for ALS research.
The 2014 Walk To Defeat ALS will take place on Saturday, April 5, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Clinton Library in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Participants will raise donations and then walk one-mile in an effort to find a cure to ALS.
This year, the team from Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is being sponsored by Advanced Cabling Systems, who recently presented the team with a $500 check.
The firm is grateful for the sponsorship and encourages other citizens to get out to help find a cure for ALS. We also urge those interested in our philanthropic endeavors to check out the Community Involvement page of our website!
