M.A.D.D.

A program that started in 1980 by a mother who lost her daughter to a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving has spent the last 40 years working to eliminate drunk driving. M.A.D.D. currently has 4 different programs in place to bring the number of fatalities to zero: supporting high visibility law enforcement, ignition interlock for all convicted drunk drivers, advanced vehicle technology, and public support. In 2020, the group is looking to add an additional program by going into schools and teaching young adults about the science behind alcohol. Rainwater, Holt & Sexton is proud of the continued work that M.A.D.D. does to help eliminate drunk driving and being this month’s Difference Maker Award.
