Little Rock Compassion Center
The Little Rock Compassion center is about giving people second chances. Sometimes one more chance is all someone needs to turn their life around. The Christ-centered shelter can house 175-200 people per night. The Compassion Center has programs to help people in Little Rock get back on their feet. Many people that have come through their doors now have stable jobs and a place to live, and some have come back to help others at the Compassion Center. The Compassion Center also helps residents by teaching them about Jesus and helping them recover from addictions in a faith-based manner. Other programs include their meal program, food pantry, clothing assistance, and education programs. Everything is centered on helping the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless, transient, displaced, and disadvantaged people of Little Rock. The Little Rock Compassion Center is making a difference in Little Rock and are an excellent recipient of the Difference Maker award.
