Victory Over Violence Difference Makers – The Call

So many charitable organizations start when someone sees a need and does what they can to alleviate that need. That is exactly how The Call got its start. Seeing the need for more foster and adoptive families in Arkansas, The Call urged the church in Arkansas to serve. On average there are 8,200 children in Arkansas foster care each year, but only 1,600 families available to foster care for these children.

The Call partners with DHS and churches all over Arkansas to provide more foster families and adoptive homes. By the end of 2016, an additional 634 homes were open to fostering children and 161 families adopted children. As a part of Victory Over Violence, there must be an increased presence of loving foster and adoptive homes for the children of Arkansas. That is one of the many ways to curb the violence epidemic that has become the norm. The Call is making sure children are brought up in loving, God-centered homes. It’s impossible to deny that The Call is a true Victory Over Violence Difference Maker.

The Difference Makers award is in conjunction with the Victory Over Violence campaign launched by KARK Channel 4 and Fox 16. Once a month, Rainwater, Holt & Sexton presents a $1,000 donation to an organization fighting violence in the community and has established themselves as a true Difference Maker. The partnership goal is to create a safer Central Arkansas by uniting community groups promoting change through improvements in education, jobs, mentoring, and hunger.
